The importance of respite care

Respite care, also known as short term accommodation under the NDIS, provides an organised, temporary break for both carers and the loved ones that they care for.

What is respite care?

Respite care is when others take care of your child, so that you can have a break. It also gives your child a change of scenery and a chance to experience new things independently of you.
