If you follow Xavier socials, you will definitely recognise Marcus’ big, beaming smile! At 21, Marcus has been a part of the Xavier family since he was a baby, and we’re thrilled to share a bit more about this fun-loving adventurer.
Marcus is always on the go, whether it’s catching public transport, hitting up theme parks, watching the latest movies, or bowling and playing arcade games. He’s also a big fan of fishing trips and market outings with his brother Genghis and his mum Muhini.
Living with Beare-Stevenson syndrome, Marcus needs some extra support with transfers, transport, personal care, his medication, and managing his BiPap machine and tracheostomy overnight. But none of that slows him down!
Marcus is a regular guest at Xavier Place, where the team receive training and ongoing monitoring from our nurses to support Marcus safely. Marcus loves to spend time with his friends at Xavier Place and enjoys some of his favourite activities. His Support Worker Megan helps him explore the community, and with Xavier’s help, Marcus and his family can enjoy special outings together.
Mum Muhini says it best:
“Thank you to the Xavier team. Marcus and our family appreciate everything you guys do. Marcus loves being supported by Xavier.”
It is a joy supporting you, Marcus and we love all the adventures we have together!
