Supporting children with a disability in Ipswich through early intervention

At our new community therapy clinic in Ipswich, our team understand the importance of early intervention to support children with a disability.

What is early intervention?

Put simply, “Early intervention” means doing things as early as possible to provide support for your child’s need. Research shows that the sooner support is provided, the better the outcomes for children with a disability.

Types of early intervention

Many children can benefit from early therapy including:

  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Physiotherapy

Early intervention works best when it is tailored to the specific needs of your child by qualified and experienced therapists. Finding the right type of therapy including the right therapist and the right setting for your child is really important. It’s not a one size fits all approach so don’t be afraid to keep striving to find the right fit for your child.
