Xavier Place: Out of home respite for Brisbane teenagers

Teenagers love to spend time with their friends, independent of their parents and teenagers with a disability are no exception. At Xavier Place, we’ve created a fun environment for teenagers with a disability to spend time with others of their own age whilst receiving the support that they need.

We have heaps of fun at Xavier Place. If your teenager comes to stay with us here are some of the things they might enjoy.

Music

We love listening to music (we always take requests!). Music brings us all together.

Movies under the stars

In the warmer months, our outdoor cinema is a big hit for movies under the stars.

Explore the neighbourhood

Xavier Place is located near the Brisbane Tennis Centre and there is plenty more to explore around the local neighbourhood. We love to get out in nature at the Yeerongpilly parks and visit the local cafes.

Outings

Age appropriate outings can be organised for our guests to get out into the community to enjoy whatever they are into with their Support Worker.

Relax

There’s plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy some quiet time too. Each guest at Xavier Place has their own private room which is their little retreat. Plus, there are indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces throughout the centre including our sensory room and the gardens.
